Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007
MILLERSBURG, OH – KTM Warehousing today announced the purchase of the assets of a new warehousing and logistical operation – Hillcrest Warehouse & Logistics. The newly acquired company expands KTM’s current warehousing complex in Millersburg, and offers a new warehouse and distribution center in Pennsylvania. Joining KTM’s Ohio team is Jim Schrock, warehouse manager and dispatcher, and Linda Phillips, secretary.
According to KTM’s Vice-President Tom Wengerd, the new acquisition improves and expands KTM’s existing warehousing and distribution services for its customers. “The purchase of an established and successful company like Hillcrest enhances our ability to service our customers and offers an added furniture packaging and transport operation,” said Wengerd. “We’re proud to welcome an experienced shipping team to KTM and the Berlin Transportation family.”
The new enterprise is mutually beneficial for both companies according to Roy Miller, former owner of Hillcrest Warehouse & Logistics. “We know our company is in good hands with KTM and Berlin Transportation,” said Miller. "KTM Warehousing is an honest, well-known local business that will continue our proud tradition of on-time deliveries and cost effectiveness.”
KTM Warehousing is part of Berlin Transportation, a commercial trucking and distribution company founded in 1967. Berlin Transportation and its associated companies – KTM Warehousing, Berlin Logistics and Berlin Equipment Leasing – are committed to the highest standard of customer services and support.
